Staffordshire Day

Last year a campaign was launched to celebrate the first Staffordshire Day in 2016, to coincide with the county’s 1000th birthday.

There were five options to choose from, and it was a hotly fought contest but in the end there was a clear winner, which received 36% of the votes – May 1st, the anniversary of the day the world-famous Wedgwood pottery company was established.

So, on Sunday 1st May 2016, people will be celebrating Staffordshire’s greatness with a range of events, special offers and competitions.

They have teamed up with some of our top attractions, hotels, and restaurants to make sure there will be something for everyone, wherever you are in the county.

Keep an eye on the Staffordshire Day events page as they’ll be adding more as the big day approaches.
