Shaun Scores Six Sensational Strikes in Stunning Show Sinking Shenstone at Soccer

Redhill took part in their first football match of 2017 when they hosted the team from Shenstone Lodge on Friday 27th January. Having played the opponents twice with a former school team these resulted in one comprehensive win and one heavy defeat so we had no idea what to expect.

The Redhill team saw two pupils playing for the first time, Todd and Ty and with them both lining up alongside Tyler in defence this meant we could boast a trio of T’s at the back. All of who put in a great performance.

Redhill took an early lead when Shaun scored a one on one with the keeper then quickly doubled the lead with a goal that even he would admit was fortunate, but they all count. Logan then a third adding to those he had scored the night before for the Year 3 and 4 team. Redhill could have scored several more but for Shenstone’s goalkeeper who was very good.

The second half surprisingly saw the visitors change their number 1 and it looked as if their new formation was a success with them scoring an early goal to reduce the defecit. Redhill rallied though and the with Shaun quickly completing his hat-trick, Logan getting another, Arron adding to the tally, Kacper (playing outfield for the final 10 minutes with Ty going in goal) chipping one in and Shaun getting another 3 to take his total to a double hat-trick of 6 and the final score of Redhill 10 Shenstone Lodge 1.

A great start to 2017 and as always a sporting performance. Thanks to the visitors who travelled quite a long way for the match and who represented their school superbly.
